IPMS Ottawa Auction 2008
The IPMS Ottawa club auction will be held on Saturday, September 7th starting at 9:45AM in the meeting room.
Basic rules
- Items for auction are to be labeled as to the state of contents, if any work has been done, opening bid, member's number using proper auction forms.
- Once a kit is in the auction room, there is no no pre-auction bartering... it goes on the table.
- Only paid-up members will be allowed to bid on items.
- Memberships will be available at the door at the normal rate. Bidders will be identified by their membership numbers.
We will go over the whole process at the September 3 meeting.

Special Summer Lectures
Stéphane Guevremont, IPMS Ottawa member of 1994–2002, is back in town for a few months and will be presenting three special lectures at the Ottawa Public Library. These multimedia talks will include lots of vintage
and combat videos, something of which may appeal to any modeller.

Panther Tank at Canadian War Museum
The Panther tank now on display at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Canada is an especially fine piece of armour. Two more interesting things about this particular tank... it was captured on film in 1954, and Model Military International has a very good article about this particular type of Panther!

In the early photograph, this Mk V Panther is shown at the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps School at Camp Borden, Ontario in April 1954, accompanied by members of the British Columbia Dragoons on course during Easter holidays.
